Permissions settings
Who can use Dexy's commands, who can see the dashboard and who manages Dexy. Every setting, its default and the values it takes.
Who can use Dexy's commands, who can see the dashboard and who manages Dexy.
On the dashboard: /dashboard/…/manage/permissions.
Command access command_access#
How far members can go with Dexy's commands.
- Use every command — anyone can look up anyone
- Look up the server, and themselves — server stats for all; other members' cards only for admins
- Only look up themselves — members can only use commands about themselves
- Nothing — only admins can use commands
Administrators, the Dexy admin role and Manage Server (if allowed in Permissions) aren't limited by this. Roles with “Use commands anywhere” aren't either.

Dashboard visibility dashboard_visibility#
Who can open this server's stats pages on the web. Visitors can only look, never change anything.
- Public — anyone with the link; member details stay for people in the server
- Members only — people in this server
- Admins only — people who can change Dexy's settings
Roles with “View stats” can always see them.

Dexy admin role admin_role#
Members with this role can run every Dexy command and change every Dexy setting here.
Only server Administrators can set it, and only to a role that has Manage Server. If the role loses that permission, its members stop counting as Dexy admins.

Manage Server counts as a Dexy admin manage_server_admins#
Whether the Manage Server permission makes someone a Dexy admin, able to run every Dexy command and change every setting here.
- Every role with Manage Server — anyone with the permission counts (the default)
- Only these roles — only Manage Server from a role you pick counts
- Off — Manage Server alone doesn't count
Administrators, the server owner and the Dexy admin role always count. People this leaves out keep what Role permissions give their roles, and can still view stats if Dashboard access lets them. Only server Administrators can change it.

Role permissions role_permissions#
Let a role do parts of Dexy without making it a full admin. Members get everything any of their roles allows.
- View stats — open the stats pages, whatever dashboard access says
- Use commands anywhere — skip command access and command channels
- Change settings — General, Stats settings, Data and turning modules on or off
- Manage counters — make, edit and remove counters
- Manage activity roles — make, edit and run activity roles
- Moderate — use moderation on the dashboard: cases, warnings, timeouts, kicks and bans, auto-mod, and their settings
Moderate stands in for the DiscordFluxer permissions: the role can use every moderation and auto-mod command in chat and here without Ban Members, Kick Members or Timeout MembersModerate Members. Role order still applies: nobody can act on someone whose highest role isn't below theirs (or Dexy's), and only Dexy admins can act on protected roles.
