Modules
Economy
A Dexy profile that follows members everywhere (coins, rewards, gathering, crafting, trades, quests, seasons, a shop and cards), server currencies and chance games.
The Economy gives every member a Dexy profile: coins in a wallet and a bank, earned with daily and weekly rewards, an hourly shift of work and pay for chatting and talking in voice, and spent in a shop of cosmetics for their profile card. Members can also fish, hunt and mine, go on expeditions, grow crops on a farm, craft, collect sets, and trade or give what they find; there are daily and weekly quests, achievements with badges, a season board every quarter, chat drops to claim, rescue puzzles to solve together and, where a server allows them, heists. Leaderboards show the richest players, everywhere or in your server. The wallet shows as the Dexy card, an image on a wallet card from the shop.
Next to the global profile, a server can turn on a currency of its own, earned for chat and voice here and spent in a shop of roles, items, accolades and goals the server's admins make; it never converts into Dexy coins. And where a server allows them, three chance games play coins against the house, with the odds shown and losses capped.
The profile is global: the same coins, items and card in every server with Dexy. A server can't give or take coins; it only decides whether its chat pays, where the commands work, whether chat drops appear and whether heists are allowed (see Settings). Profiles on Discord and on Fluxer are separate: each platform's Dexy keeps its own.
The Economy module is on by default and free. Nobody has a profile until they start playing, and reading a balance or a card never makes one.
Start playing#
- Claim your first reward with
d!eco daily. That makes your profile. - Claim the weekly one with
d!eco weekly, and work a shift withd!eco work(once an hour). - Check your coins with
d!ecoord!eco balance, and put some in the bank withd!eco deposit half. - Open the shop with
d!eco shop, and buy something for your card, liked!eco buy mint. - Put it on with
d!eco equip mint, and look at your card withd!eco profile.
From then on, chatting and talking in voice earn coins too, a little at a time (see Activity pay).

Every economy command also works by a short name, typed with your prefix (d! by default). Replies always name commands the short way, with your server's prefix.

Turning it off#
An admin turns the whole module off with d!modules disable economy, or with its switch on the dashboard's Overview or at the top of its Economy page. Its commands then say it's off, and nobody earns activity pay in the server. Profiles aren't touched: they're global, and come back as they were when the module is on again.
Turning a module off and on works the same for every module. Here it is for Counters:

Fair play#
- Every coin and item that moves is one safe change in the database, so two commands at once can never spend the same coins or goods twice or lose any. A trade moves everything from both sides at once, or nothing.
- Rewards reset at midnight UTC (weekly on Monday), the same for everyone.
- Sending coins is capped at 10,000 a day per member, asks to confirm from 1,000, and isn't possible to or from bots, or while either member is timed out.
- Activity pay is capped at 375 coins a day, pays less the more you chat in a day, and doesn't pay for spam, bots, talking alone in voice, or messages auto-mod deleted.
- Selling goods pays in full for the first 1,500 coins a day, then less; trades and gifts have daily limits that grow as you play.
- A heist costs coins on average (a fifth of what moves is destroyed), never touches the bank, and is off until a server turns it on; a rescue's pot is split by the players less a tenth; drops, quests and expeditions pay less than playing by hand.
- The chance games are off until a server allows them; a stake is at most 5 % of the wallet and 2,000, a member loses at most 2,000 a day, and every game returns less than it takes on average.
- A server's own currency never converts into coins: the global game and a server's economy can't inflate each other.
- Every movement shows in
d!eco transactionsfor 90 days.
Troubleshooting#
"Economy commands work in #… here." The server keeps economy commands to some channels. Use one of those, or ask an admin (see Economy channels).
"The Economy module is turned off in this server." An admin turned it off. They can turn it back on with d!modules enable economy.
Chatting doesn't earn anything. Activity pay only goes to members who have a profile (claim a d!eco daily first), needs the Stats module on, and can be turned off by the server. It's paid every 10 minutes, and less as the day goes on. d!diag says if something is off.
A reaction does nothing. Only the member who ran the command can use its reactions, for a few minutes (a trade window's ✅ and ❌ work for both of its members until the trade ends). Run the command again.
