Chance games
Coinflip, guess and slots: Dexy coins against the house with the odds shown, stakes and daily losses capped, off until a server turns them on.
Three small games of chance, played with coins from your wallet against the house: never against another member, never with the bank. The odds are printed in every reply, and every game returns less than it takes on average (the house's edge is destroyed, not kept by anyone), so the games can't be an income at any wallet size. They are off in every server until an admin turns them on.
The policy#
Dexy plays with coins that have no cash value and can't be bought, but chance-based play isn't for every server, so:
- Each server opts in with
d!eco settings games on(see Settings), or with the Chance games switch on the dashboard's Economy ▸ Settings page; the games are off by default, andd!eco settings games off(or the switch) turns them off again. The switch isn't shown at all while the bot's operator has the games off for every server. - A stake is at most 5 % of your wallet and 2,000 coins (at least 10), so a bad streak costs a slice, never the wallet. The bank is never staked.
- You can lose at most 2,000 coins a day across the games (the stake is reserved against the limit when it's placed, so a burst of bets can't pass it; a win gives it back). Every reply says what you can still lose today.
- One game every 10 seconds.
- Every reply shows the odds and what the house keeps on average.
- The whole feature can be switched off for every server at once by the bot's operator.
Coinflip#
d!coinflip 100 flips a coin for 100 coins on heads; d!coinflip 100 tails calls tails. 50 % to win, and a win pays 1.9× the stake back (the house keeps 5 % on average). flip and cf are short names. The reply first shows the coin spinning (🪙 Flipping…), then turns into the result a moment later.
Guess#
Five of the twenty-five cells of a 5×5 grid hide a chest. d!guess 50 b3 stakes 50 coins on cell B3 (columns A to E, rows 1 to 5, or a number from 1 to 25): 20 % to hit, and a hit pays 4.5× back (the house keeps 10 % on average). The reply shows the grid with the chests, and where you picked.
d!guess 50 alone shows the grid and the odds; you then pick by typing the cell, like d!guess 50 b3. pick is a short name.
/guess bet:50 alone shows the grid with a menu of cells; each pick is a new game with that stake.
Slots#
d!slots 100 spins three reels for 100 coins. The payout table is in every reply (× the stake, the stake included): 7️⃣7️⃣7️⃣ 50×, 💎💎💎 20×, 🔔🔔🔔 10×, 🍋🍋🍋 6×, 🍒🍒🍒 4×, two cherries 1.5×, any other pair 0.5×; nothing on about 40 % of spins; the house keeps about 11 % on average. slot and spin are short names.
Fair play#
- Every stake is one guarded change of your wallet: the coins and the day's limit move together, or not at all.
- A stake is destroyed on a loss and a win is paid out of nothing: no coins move between members.
- Every game shows in
d!eco transactionsas a Game row with the net change. - The numbers behind the games are in the bot's balance sheet, and the tests keep every game's expected return between 80 % and 100 % of the stake.
