Earning coins
Daily and weekly rewards, an hourly shift of work, coins for chatting and voice, the bank and its limit, play tiers, and giving coins to other members.
Coins come from four places: the daily and weekly rewards, a shift of work every hour, and activity pay for chatting and talking in voice. They land in your wallet; the bank keeps them safe. A member who plays most days earns about 6,000 coins a week, enough for a rare background. Gathering and the farm bring in goods on top, which you can sell to the shop.
Daily and weekly#
d!eco daily pays 150 coins, and 15 more for each day in a row you claim it, up to 300 a day from the 11th day on. Days reset at midnight UTC. Miss a day and your streak starts over, unless a Streak shield is armed (see Shop and items): an armed shield covers one missed day.
d!eco weekly pays 1,200 coins once a week. Weeks start on Monday at midnight UTC.
Claiming again too early tells you when the next one is.
Work#
d!eco work works a shift for 90 to 150 coins, once an hour. The pay grows a little with your play tier (see Tiers): Bronze up to 8 % more, Silver 10 to 18 %, Gold 20 to 38 %, Platinum and up 40 %. The reply names your tier and its bonus. A running Coin boost adds 25 %.
Activity pay#
Once you have a profile, chatting and talking in voice earn coins by themselves:
- 2 coins for each message, counting at most about six a minute, so a burst of spam earns no more than a steady conversation;
- 1 coin for each minute in voice, but only with at least one other person there who isn't a bot, away or deafened, and not while you're away or deafened;
- bots never earn, and messages auto-mod deletes are taken back.
It's paid every 10 minutes, all your servers together. The more you earn in a day, the less each coin of activity pays: the first 150 coins pay in full, the next 250 at half, the next 500 at a fifth, and nothing after that. That's at most 375 coins a day. A running Coin boost adds 25 %. The day starts over at midnight UTC.
Activity pay counts chat and voice through the Stats module, so it needs Stats on in the server. A server can also turn it off (see Activity pay setting).
The bank#
Your wallet is what you spend; your bank keeps coins aside. d!eco deposit 1000 moves coins in and d!eco withdraw 500 takes them out. Amounts can be a number (1500, 1.5k), half or all; d!eco deposit all fills what fits.
The bank holds 5,000 coins, more as your play tier grows (up to 55,000 at Legend; see Tiers), plus 5,000 for each Bank expansion you use (up to 10). Your net worth, on the card and the leaderboards, is your wallet, your bank and your goods at their sell price (see Gathering).
Tiers#
Playing earns play XP: claiming rewards, working and activity pay all count. Your XP puts you in a tier, shown with its mark on your card and your balance: ๐ฅ Bronze from the start, ๐ฅ Silver after about a month of playing most days, ๐ฅ Gold after a few months, then ๐ Platinum, ๐ Diamond and ๐ Legend for the long haul. Each tier makes work pay more and the bank bigger, and raises how much you can send in trades and gifts a day. Reaching a tier (or getting a little stronger inside one) is announced after a shift of work, and your card's XP bar fills toward the next tier.
Giving coins#
d!eco give @member 500 sends coins from your wallet to another member.
- Gifts of 1,000 coins or more ask you to confirm first. Gifts can't be undone.
- You can send up to 10,000 coins a day; it resets at midnight UTC.
- Not to bots or yourself, and not while you or they are timed out.
The confirm is a Give button. It runs the gift and shows the result in the same message; after a minute, or if Dexy restarts, it stops and nothing is sent.
The confirm is a question with โ and โ under it, for 60 seconds. โ sends the coins and the question becomes the result; โ or no answer sends nothing. If Dexy restarts before you answer, the question says so, nothing is sent, and you can run the command again.
Both members see the gift in their transactions.
